🎨 Join Us for a Year of Art, Music, and Community at The Artisans Gallery on Howe

2026 is shaping up to be a lively and engaging year at The Artisans Gallery on Howe, with a full calendar of events designed to bring art, music, and community together in meaningful ways. Throughout the year, visitors can expect a welcoming mix of exhibitions, gatherings, and seasonal markets that highlight the work of our gallery artists while creating opportunities to connect and linger.
A cornerstone of our programming is First Friday, a monthly Southport evening event that runs from March 6 through December 4, 2026. On each First Friday, the gallery comes alive with live music on the porch, a featured artist meet-and-greet, and wine and light snacks inside. These evenings are relaxed, social, and a wonderful way to experience new work while enjoying the company of fellow art lovers. We’re pleased to kick off the season in March with music by Jim Maglio, followed in April by Mark Baptiste. Additional musicians and featured artists will be announced as the year progresses.
As the weather warms, visitors can also look forward to Art On The Porch, a series of informal, pop-up style art experiences that bring creativity outdoors. These events are designed to feel spontaneous and approachable, offering another way to encounter the artists and their work in a relaxed, open-air setting. More details and dates will be shared soon.
Additionally, the Artisans Association is planning three retail markets in 2026, beginning with our Spring Market on April 24–25. These markets will feature a wide range of original art and handcrafted work by our gallery members and are a great opportunity to shop locally and support working artists. 2026 market dates and details will be announced later in the year.
